Jakob Helling Quintet

Jakob Helling—a trumpeter and composer based in Vienna for several years—blends swing with a modern jazz vocabulary to create a diverse concert experience. His compositions provide a canvas for compelling improvisation, subtle interplay, and musical storytelling that is as accessible as it is profound.

For this ensemble, Jakob has invited four outstanding musicians from the Vienna jazz scene with whom he shares both a long-standing musical partnership and a personal friendship: Tobias Meissl (vibraphone), Mátyás Bartha (piano), Danny Ziemann (bass), and Mario Gonzi (drums).
