About the event
Under the title I Remember Clifford, Jonas Friesel, Michael Marginter, Felix Niederstätter, Tjan Šoštarič, and Bogdan Djurdjević celebrate one of the great peaks of the hard bop era. In the classic lineup of the legendary Max Roach–Clifford Brown quintet, the band pays tribute to the genius of the trumpeter, whose tragic death marks its 70th anniversary this year—a perfect opening set for a fantastic Tuesday Session at ZWE.
